Thats great tubes for audio / hifi application, low noise, no microphonics or mains hum, and constant transconductance (slope) over a wide range of characteristics. Sound still warm but very detailed and on hi end/hi mid powers side - great cooperate with EL34 II JJ *(smooth and warm, great low mid, and velvet histone) characteristics. JJ EL844 - PAIR

JJ developed a completly new tube which is compatible with the EL84. The difference lies in the around 25% decreased headroom. This will give you the benefit to get the often desired power amp overdrive at lower volume levels. We recommend this tube for low wattage amps to get a better sound at bedroom levels.
